Gary Stockslager

Background and Experience

Prior to starting his career, 30 years ago with John Crane, Gary Stockslager worked a few years at Frick Company (now a division of Johnson Controls and York Compressor) as a Design Draftsperson. His job at the time was to assist in the development of what they now call their TDS Compressor. That is where his education concerning Mechanical Seals began. After leaving Frick, he went to work for John Crane as a Field Salesperson covering Western MD, the Eastern Panhandle of WV and South Central PA spending 7-1/2 years in that territory selling seals and providing support for all industries. During this time, Gary became a member of the Central PA Wastewater Association and attended many meetings and seminars for the Wastewater Industry. In addition to attending the meetings and seminars, Gary began teaching Wastewater Operators about Mechanical Seals, how they function, what makes them fail and how to install them. For the next 22-1/2 years his job took him to Buffalo, NY where he became the Branch Manager than off to the Midwest to be the Midwest High Volume Regional Sales Manager than back to the East Coast where he was the Northeast Distribution Manager before accepting the position, and finishing his career as General Manager of U.S. Seal Mfg.
