Jack Monck

Background and Experience

During the mid 1960s, Jack was the Assistant Director of the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1974, he was promoted to the Sewer Department, shortly thereafter he became the Chief of the Collection System. Jack developed the Collection System into a top notch department being recognized by the American Public Works Association for his common sense approach to the maintenance problems associated with gravity sewers. He was involved in the development of the Public Works Academy for the City. "Collection System: Getting to the Root of the Sewer Problem" is a one hour course based upon his experience and pilot testing of fundamental solutions utilized in todays gravity sewer systems.
