Jon has been involved in the wastewater field for over twenty years, starting his career as a contractor installing pumps and PVC in 1981, advancing from the plant maintenance and reading meters, to a dual licensed Class "A" water and wastewater licensed operator. Jon has received many awards and recognitions, such as: Leroy Henry Scott Memorial Award, Earle B. Phelps Award, and William Hatfield Award. Jon is currently employed with American Water Services in South Florida and has been associated with both private and publicly owned utility operations since 1982. Jon has has been involved in various training and operator short schools, along with director of FWPCOA Region 8 for many years.
