Background and Experience

K. Valiquette

Karen Valiquette has been in the water and wastewater industry for over 30 years and holds a Florida Class A Water Treatment Operator license, a Florida Class A Wastewater Treatment Operator license, a Florida Class A Wastewater Collection license and a Florida Level 1 Water Distribution license. She received a BS in Environmental Engineering from Kennedy Western University in Cheyenne Wyoming. Currently holds a certification as a Plant Maintenance Manager from Association for Facilities Engineering. Has completed the Maintenance Excellence for Maintenance Mangers course through Clemson University.

As an Environmental Engineer, she oversees that the treatment and safety parameters are maintained, as the Team Facilitator of a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) project. Karen has years of experience with a "hands-on" approach to preventive and predictive maintenance and their schedules within the Asset Management System. She also has extensive operational and supervisory experience in Water and Wastewater operation. As an instructor, she teaches a Florida state approved Water Treatment course at Palm Beach State College and is approved to teach Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection through Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
