Tony Palmer's experience includes more than 21 years in process, instrumentation, and electrical control for water/wastewater treatment utilities. For more than 17 years, Palmer served as a water quality control and electrical systems supervisor for the design, construction, and maintenance for the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District's 400 MGD WWTP in Elk Grove, California. He served as the principal investigator for the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) project, "Identify Effective Equipment Design Practices for Wastewater Treatment Plants", and co-investigator/co-author for the following WERF projects, "Oxidation Reduction Potential vs Residual Control of Chlorine," and "Thickening and Dewatering Processes: How to Evaluate and Implement an Automation Package."
Currently, Palmer serves as the Executive Director for the Instrumentation Testing Association (ITA), a non-profit technical and educational association.
